As a public figure, I've been hesitant to see a Psychologist. Dr. Levy was recommended to me by a trusted physician (who also sees her). She's helped me accept and understand myself and done so kindness and warmth. She's trustworthy and professional and the best investment I've made.*

I’m 45 and have been morbidly obese and depressed all my life. Every doctor I saw recommended gastric bypass or medications that made me feel ill. I tried everything from fasting to Keto and would lose some weight with each only to gain it back and more. I felt life was so unfair and that I’d never be able to do simple things that others took for granted. My work with Dr. Levy has not been easy. Her insistence that my feelings and behavior stemmed from “cognitive distortions” and other false beliefs was a hard pill to swallow. Tbh, half the time I had no idea what she meant and it felt like she was blaming me for my problems. I don’t know what made it click, but after about 6 months, I finally understood that the way I thought about things involved a lot of blaming other people and believing I was hopeless. Little by little, I learned to challenge my automatic thoughts and assumptions. I started feeling less angry at myself and others and less hopeless about losing weight. I’ve gone back to Keto (which I like) and have lost 100lbs. I don’t focus on keeping my food clean so much as my thinking. So, when I have a setback and eat something off the diet, I don’t think it’s a disaster and just go back to what I was doing the day before, no recriminations. I’ve learned that blaming others (even when they’d done some bad things) did little to help me in the here and now. Instead it would make me feel like my own life and weight wasn’t in my control, which it is. Don’t go to Dr. Levy if you’re looking for a silent doctor. It’s like a boot camp for your brain that, happily, has made losing weight and keeping it off a lot easier. *

Speak to Dr. Levy if you’re having trouble communicating with your kids. She helped me reach out to my daughter in a way my daughter responded to and also helped my ex- and I establish rules that preserved both of our relationships with the children.*

Rachel saved my marriage. My wife and I saw her 5 times and resolved a 12 year dispute that really was a misunderstanding. What I learned from her has helped me communicate better at work which has improved our business. *

Dr. Levy has been a huge help during the pandemic. She’s taught me how to communicate more effectively with my kids and husbands. We went from fighting to enjoying each other’s company. She helped us establish boundaries and was able to get my kids and hubby to start pulling their weight at home. *

I didn’t believe in therapy but after medication stopped working, my doctor recommended I see Dr. Levy. She taught me how to see life through different eyes. She saw me for 6 months and then told me I didn’t need therapy anymore. At first I was upset but after a few weeks, I realized she was right. I learned so much and will be forever grateful. Thank you, Dr. Levy*

In 3 months of therapy with Dr. Levy, I’ve learned how to control my anxiety better than I had in 20 years of therapy and medication with other doctors. *

Was desperate to find help for my daughter who’s been having severe anxiety since starting school. Dr. Levy saw us that day. I had no idea that my daughter was suffering from Social Anxiety Disorder. She helped both my daughter and I feel better that day and provided us with a clear treatment plan. I don’t usually write reviews but wanted to knowing that it might help people who are suffering find great treatment.*
